In a recent meeting, Fred Lokuta, Acting Deputy Secretary of ODP, announced that they intend to develop a "Futures Plan" that will include many components such as individuals, families, social capital, disability awareness, employment, funding, organizational structure, deliverables, person-centered planning.  They are currently accepting applications for persons interested in participating in this process.  (AZTAC can send you the info if you have not received it.)  The theme of the plan is "Today's Vision, Tommorow's Reality."

The plan is expected to be completed by the end of July 2013.   I had the opportunity to ask Mr. Lokuta if we should expect any significant changes before the plan was finalized, and he confirmed that things will be relatively on hold until the plan has been developed.  I asked if any other services would be moved to fee-for-service on July 1, 2013, and he said no.  

I will be submitting an application to participate in the process of the Futures Plan.
