My colleagues, my friends,
Thank you so much for your continued well wishes, cards, and prayers! It's not been fun, but I am doing extremely well! I recovered remarkably from surgery, and I am now about halfway through my 18 weeks of chemotherapy. After that, I have a couple minor surgeries, and I will continue to receive Herceptin treatments (a targeted drug for aggressive cancer cells and also given through the mediport) until June 2009. Following that, my treatment will be reduced to taking pills for many years. (Fortunately, I do not have to do radiation.) So here's to getting this year behind me.
I am back at work with very minimal "downtime." We have upgraded equipment, and we are ready for all of the work to be done for the upcoming deadlines for ICF/MR and Community MR programs. So I am sure I will be talking to you soon if not already. Jolene and Marilyn are also available if you need anything, so don't hesitate to call or email them at JoleneYaede@att.net and MarilynEngle@att.net.
Thank you again for your support.
Mary Anne
