from Mary Anne Arthur-Haschert

My colleagues, my friends,
As many of you know, I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and underwent surgery a little over a week ago. Thank you to everyone for your well wishes, prayers, cards, special thoughts, and gifts in these last couple weeks. Although treatment will begin in a couple/few weeks, the specific plan has not yet been determined, since not all of the test results are back yet . I am pleased to say that it is an early stage of cancer, the prognosis is very good, and I expect treatment to be very manageable and minimally interruptive.
Thank you also for your patience while I continue to recover. Jolene and Marilyn have kindly adjusted their schedules to help accommodate my absence. Currently, I am working from home a couple hours per day through remote access to my office server. Please let me know if you have any concerns.
Additionally, I was recently married to Don Haschert, a best friend from my college days, whom I had lost touch with many years ago. We ran into each other four years ago, and we were engaged in February 2007. We had a beautiful, private wedding on Friday evening, May 16, with only our most immediate family members in attendance. I am changing my last name to Haschert, but I will be hyphenating it for a few months until people get used to it. You are welcome to use Arthur, Haschert, or Arthur-Haschert, whatever is most convenient for you and your record-keeping.
Thank you again.
