Recently, some providers have received letters from the Department of Public Welfare regarding independent audits.  These audits are at the request of Secretary Alexander and will be conducted by the firm Maher Dussel.  The request for information is very short-dated, with most information due by February 1, 2012.   ODP informed AZTAC that these audits are limited scope audits, randomly selected, and across all programs within DPW.   Other information has indicated that there are 50 agencies, of which 14 are ODP providers.   If you have received a letter regarding this audit, please send a copy to AZTAC and we can tell you if your letter is the same--or different--as other providers.
