The Biden administration has announced that the Public Health Emergency will end May 11, 2023.   One of the many areas that this affects is the CPS fee schedule rates.   CPS fee schedule rates were previously published in the PA Bulletin, with no particular effective date other than "six months after the end of the public health emergency."    As such, ODP has stated that the current rates (which include a 30% enhancement) will continue through November 11, 2023 and the new rates will then take effect.   The new rates are lower than the current rates, which causes great concern for many providers of these services.    If you have not done so already, be sure to analyze the fiscal impact that this will have on your program.  Be sure to contact ODP with your concerns, especially if you are planning to close your program.
